I am not afraid of killer squirrels!!!

You all know I LOVE to bark at squirrels. Well, not long ago, my BFF (bloggy feisty feline) Ali Z. warned me about KILLER RUSSIAN SQUIRRELS that attacked and killed a dog who was barking at them, but my mom's been too busy to blog about it until now. So, Miss Ali was very kindly worried about my safety, so I told her that if I was afraid of a stupid squirrel, I would have to turn in my Dog Card.

But dis guy who's taken to frequenting MY yard, has mom (not me, MOM!) thinking that he looks suspiciously similar to to the alleged perpetrator in the news photo. And I know it's hard to tell in a photo, but dis guy is the biggest squirrel I've ever seen!!!

So mom (again, not ME!) was daydreaming about some doggie chain-mail or some kind of suit of armor, just in case dis squirrel was one of those evil, killing kind. And we found some! But the bad news is, IT COMES IN SQUIRREL SIZES TOO!!! (scroll down to see!)

I'm not afraid. No sir-ee! NO self-respecting terrier would EVER be afraid of a tree-rat squirrel!!! They just better not start playing King Arthur wiff me in MY yard... Maybe I should get that suit of armor just in case...???

Madi, black squirrels are actually pretty common around here, but this one is exceptional in size and definitely looks up to no good!

OP Pack, I thought of T in his armor, BOL! He is ready if it comes to that! :-)

Hey there Cloud
Just to reassure you - that guy would drive our nuts too! (oops, I meant drive US nuts too!). Man, oh man he's big!!! Are those guys scared of anything? What about dressing up with a big bushy tail too - maybe then he'll get the message. Good luck hey Cloud, but be safe buddy! He looks ferocious!

That squirrel is pretty intimidating, but I know you can take care of it Cloud. Have Mom throw it in the smoker or on the grill after you catch it. What a great Halloween party you could have for the neighbors!

We don't have black squirrels in our neck of the woods... but we've seen 'em up in MI... no matter their color the kiddlets want to attack!

Good luck protecting your yard Cloud!

Cloud, go GET that squirrel... i don't see any chain mail on it, so definitely have the upper hand, and if your momma is concerned about your safety I guess you could invest in some kevlar body armor....

Wow-wee that's a new one on me. I have seen grey tree rats, but never a black one! You sure that isn't a black Howloween cat playing a trick?

My Mom says we had a black squirrel in our little town for a while, but she hasn't seen it for a couple of years. If yours answers to the name Mordred, it might be him.

But please don't worry, Cloud, I know you are afraid, but he may move on after a bit and you'll just have your regulars there. I think a Kevlar vest will do you fine, and try not to be so scared.

Cloud, make sure you don't let that thing walk across your path. I bet it would put some sort of black squirrel hex on you. You know it is Howl-o-weenie! You can never be too careful around those evil squirrels.
