Thundershirt Review!!!

In my post last week about the Thundershirt mom got me, I said I would let everyone know how it worked. We had our first thunderstorms of the year last night and early this morning.

And...........

It worked great!!!!!!!

The thunder started shortly after we had gone to bed. I began to shake, so mom got up and brought over the Thundershirt. I was excited because she had me wear it a little bit every day and gave me treats in it, so I already associated it with good things.

As soon as she fastened it snugly around me, I STOPPED SHAKING!!! I was still a little nervous about the loud thunder at first, but I never developed the usual anxiety symptoms of panting and severe trembling! I went to sleep!! We ALL got to sleep, instead of me keeping mom up all night like I used to. (Mom really likes this part!)

Mom and I are both totally in love wiff dis Thundershirt!!! We give it two thumbs and four paws!! If any of you dawgs are skeered of thunder, I highly recommend it. (If it doesn't work, the website says you can send it back, too!)

Cloud's mom here: It was heartbreaking to watch Cloud be so scared of thunder, and it's a huge relief to find something that really works to make him feel better. It's like a miracle!

Luv,
Thunder Cloud the Brave

PS. My mom can't stop laughing about Flat Nigel's adventures. Here's a link to the blog post she wrote about it, if you guys want to read it.

After last summer, my Mom recommending Thunder Shirts to everybody, this year she finally ordered one for me and it should be here this week. Loud noises, of Thunder, fireworks, and the like make me very crazy. So I can't wait to have my own. I am happy that yours makes you happy too. We found out about them a year ago when a Florida friend got one for her dog and it was great!

So, uh, Cloud, you sound a little different lately, not caring to joke around like we used to. Telling me not to chase Ali Z, is it the Thunder Shirt just mellowed your brain out too? Ok, Buddy, I'll go easy, but I'm gonna miss my old Pal Cloud and his comebacks.
(Uh, no siccing Tank on me either, please.)

Kisses,
Stella

Hi Cloud...we are thrilled to hear the thundershirt is a winner!!! And you look so good in it too.
Why is it all the worst t-storms are right before bedtime? How nice to know you thought about us last week. It is always nice to now we are in our friend's thoughts.
We hate pollen...and hope and pray the predicted rain for Thursday arrives to wash some of it away,
Happy Tuesday,
Madi and Mom

Hiya Cloud! Nice to meetchya! Hmmm-do they make those thundershirts reversible? Mom wants to know 'cuz she thinks just a wee little bit of fear would do wonders for my attitude. You see, I was born without any. Nope. Nada. Zilch.

So if your thundershirt is in the hamper, call me. I can teach you how to sleep through storms like I did just this mornin'.

Woofs and reversible slobbers,
Chester ;0=)

We've heard of the thundershirts, but this is the first time we've heard from a dog who's actually used one! We might have to get one for Lilac now that storm season is upon us.

so glad it worked for you as i know of many furiends who are afraid of thunderstorms.

i think i may be weird as i'm indifferent to them and we do have a lot of thunderstorms here. mumster thinks i'm abnormal as i'm only afraid of the sound of crackers! she could be shivering when we have thunderstorms and i'm walking around oblivious to everything.

i think i may be weird! but i do understand how frightening it can be when i watch mumster

Cloud,

We missed you so much! We can't believe how much love your mom has been spreading around. She is amazing. Her painting of MaxDog made my mom cry, but a good cry. After all we've been through, it was a good release. Then seeing what happened with Life with Dogs Nigel, she cracked up laughing. Too funny. My mom always commented on how talented your mom was with her paintings and how special of a dog you are Cloud. We love you both and miss you. We are trying to catch up on all of our friends blogs, but it takes time. In time we will catch up. It's amazing how much love there is here though. That's why we do it. It's like our own little community. Please remember us the next time so we can contribute something for the next donation. We would love too contribute. Miss you and love you. Woof, Josie and Josie's mom

Hey Cloud....I'm terrified of thunderstorms, too....mom bought me an anxiety wrap...similar to your thunder shirt, and it helps me, too....seems based on the same principal...something around me, feels like a constant hug! Glad your thunder shirt helped....and that you and mom both got some sleep. Luv, Cassie
