Ode to Winter

Ode to Winter
By Cloud

It is Winter.
The snow is tall,
My legs are short,
I have a nekkid belly.
Winter.

I'll hold my pee,
For a little while longer.
Wonder Dogs can do dis,
It only makes our bladders stronger.
Winter.

The temp today is -5 below.
The forcast calls fur still more snow.
I wish I had some floof like Khyra
Then I could be warm, here or in Siberia.
Winter.

Cloud, your poem is thought-provoking and earthy with well developed symbolism. I enjoyed peeling away the layers to learn more about the real Cloud in all his suaveness. You are truly a Wonder Dog. Bravo!

Looks like your Mom made Twix's Daddy very happy with that beautiful painting of her.

It is cold here too but we love it. Want us to send you some of our fur? We have extra, especially TD.

Just remember - winter is always followed by spring - that's what we were promised!

And peeing is highly overrated! :)

Oh. Cloud! There seems to be no end to your wordy talents. This was truly a wonderful poem.

You know, Cloud, that I was in the slammer for three months and there, you only get out twice a day. So you learn to hang on, and on, and on, but this is a big plus when cold weather (or rain!) comes.
You will be happy for this later.

Want me to order you a sweater?

Your pal,
Stella

Yes...winter is a lovely time, when you can watch it pass but while inside warm and cozey :)

I like winter...but I like it in small doses.

As far as peeing outside, I go fast and run back in!

Licks to you and you can share my Snuggie :)

Hi Cloud,

Our feelings for this yuckiness called "winter" is exactly the same as yours. More snow last night. Will it never end? At least we don't have to potty outside.

Hey there Cloud Buddy-dude
HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR MOM!!!
It's great to be back and to catch up with you. Your poem is really sweet and I loved all your nostalgic pics from 2009. As for that squirrel.....mmmmph! I really wish you well in squirrel catching this year!.
Take care buddy. We love you too!

Hey Cloud - I've been meaning to tell you that I did see your post about Gigantor. I couldn't leave a comment at the time because I was totally speechless. I was so spooked by those pictures that I didn't go out to my backyard for several days for fear I would see one of those things here. That squirrel might be able to carry you off and do who knows what to you. It still makes me uncomfortable to think about it. Have you seen it lately? My professional opinion is that you need to hire someone to blow it up with dynamite. I would give anything to see this...Keep me posted, okay?

I'll be ready and waiting... I hope you've got a Cloudmobile of some sort... it's a long way to Texas.

If you could ramp up your suaveness to high, we might be able to hitchhike. How could anybody possibly pass the Wonder Dog without stopping?!

I'm gonna go pack a lunch.

Cloud you are an excellcent Poet!!!! I'm told Toto, mini Dachshund, the first family pet was vertically challenged and hated to have his tummy wet so he really learned to wait until the last minute to go out.
Stay warm sweet boy. It isn't -5 here but it is cold for NC and windy no snow.

I feel ya, Cloud! We are supposed to get more snow this week! Great poetry by the way. At least you get to lift your leg instead of squat when you go out! Betcha didn't think of that, did ya?
Tell your Mom my Daddy loved his present! And I'm glad she enjoyed seeing his pics when he opened it. I still can't believe he thought it was a jersey!
Love and kisses,
Twix
