More snow squees, and a new painting of me!

Mom's been super busy this week, so not much time fur blogging. But I had to share these two snow squee pictures wiff you. We still have lots of snow here - it melts a little, then we get a little more. Sometimes it has the consistency of a giant sno-cone. Sometimes it's light and fluffy. Sometimes it's frozen hard and good fur snowwalking.

Here I am being cute some more. Go ahead and stare. You know you want to.

And here is new painting mom painted of me. She wanted to do a bold and unusual "urban style" dog portrait, something that she hasn't tried before. What do you guys think?

Cloud Snowwalker (wiff bonus SQUEEE)

Dis post is fur everyone who is sad their snow melted away. As you can see, we still have lots of snow in Iowa. But wiff slightly above freezing temps in the daytime, then freezing at night, the snow has developed a thin crust of ice on the top. I can now WALK ON TOP OF SNOW!!! Dis feat has earned me new nickname of Cloud Snowwalker.

So the other day I was out in the backyard wiff mom while she was taking pictures of stuff like dis:

When she noticed me peeking out from behind a snowbank. I was looking fur rabbits. Woo may have to biggify picture fur to see me:

I stood up to say "Oh, HI!"

I decided to climb over the snowbank.

I fell through the crust! Dis happens sometimes when you're a Snowwalker.

Here it comes...

SQUEEEE!!!

I has fierce determination befitting a Wonder Dog.

Almost to the top!

I made it! Look at all the snow I kicked up, BOL!

Note how I spread my toes wide. Dis helps wiff Snowwalking:

It's like having snow shoes!

Cloud Snowwalker. It keeps my nekkid belly out of the snow.

PS. If anyone wonders why I wasn't wearing my red hoodie, it wasn't that cold and we were only outside fur a few minutes. Mom didn't expect me to go climbing snowbanks, BOL!

Mom made a video of our walk yesterday. I'm SO happy that it's warmed up enough fur us to go on walks. **dances a jig**

I hope you like dis video. You get to see my leg-lifting skills, snow-yellowing skills, shaking skills, trotting skills, and also my ears standing straight up and a huge pile of snow at the end. As a bonus, you get to see my "inner wolf!" That's what mom calls my shadow cuz it looks like a wolf. BOL!

I'm not getting out of bed til Spring...

Not much to report here. Snow, snow, snow. Cold, cold, COLD!!! Snow. Wind. Snow. Wind. Cold. I could go on, but that's about it. It's been about 20 below zero around these parts with the wind chills. I've decided not to get out of bed until Spring.

Conversation wiff mom dis morning -

Mom: Come on Cloud, it's time to get up!

Me: No way. Is cold outside. And besides, there is a giant avalanche waiting to happen by the garage.

Mom: Just don't go over by the garage. Come on, you can wear your red hoodie and sit by the heater afterwards. And have a treat...

Me: Treats, you say?

Me: It's FIVE BELOW ZERO out here. WHY ARE YOU TAKING PICTURES???

Mom: You are cute. Besides, you need something to blog about today...

Me: Hmmph!

That's about it. Gigantor is burning up his fat reserves in dis cold. He's not quite as monsterous as a few weeks ago. But he still lives up to his name:

Mom says we are having a heat wave next week. The temps will be in the 20's and 30's!!!! Do you realize that will feel 50 - 60 degrees warmer than it does now??? HOORAY!!!

Until then, I am keeping warm under mom's desk. I hope everyone is snug and warm out there...

It is Winter.

The snow is tall,

My legs are short,

I have a nekkid belly.

Winter.

I'll hold my pee,

For a little while longer.

Wonder Dogs can do dis,

It only makes our bladders stronger.

Winter.

The temp today is -5 below.

The forcast calls fur still more snow.

I wish I had some floof like Khyra

Then I could be warm, here or in Siberia.
